(“we”, “us”, or “our”) collects, uses, and shares information when you interact with www.KLIPY.com (the “Site”), our APIs, mobile applications, and any related services, features, or content (collectively, the “Services”). By using our Services, you accept the practices described below.

    Important for API Users: Cookie-consent controls described in Section 6 apply only to direct visits to KLIPY.com. If you access KLIPY through a third-party app that integrates our API, that developer must provide its own consent mechanism and privacy notice.

    Account Details: e-mail, username, password, optional profile data (avatar, bio, demographics).
    User-Generated Content: GIFs, clips, stickers, AI-generated media, comments, links, images (stored indefinitely, even after account closure unless deletion is required by law).

    Usage Data: IP address, device IDs, browser/OS, search activity, server logs.
    Cookies & Similar Tech: See Section 6 for full details and controls.
    Advertising IDs (if features with ads are used): IDFA, GAID, approximate location, carrier, ad views/clicks.
    Aggregated Statistics: page-views, session length, referral counts (anonymised).

    C. Data from Third-Party Services
    When you sign in with a social account (e.g., Facebook, Twitter), we receive profile data such as name and e-mail; see their policies for details.

    4. Why & How We Use Your Data — Our Legal Bases (GDPR Art. 6)
    Contract (Art. 6 (1)(b))
    – Create and manage your KLIPY account, process requested actions, provide core functionality.

    Consent (Art. 6 (1)(a))
    – Store/-read non-essential cookies, deliver personalised ads, send marketing e-mails (you may withdraw any time—see Section 6 and Section 8).

    Legitimate Interests (Art. 6 (1)(f))
    – Prevent fraud and abuse, ensure service security and integrity, conduct internal analytics.
    We balance these interests against your fundamental rights; contact us to object.

    Legal Obligation (Art. 6 (1)(c))
    – Comply with tax, accounting, and lawful disclosure duties.

    5. How and When We Share Your Data
    A. Service Providers
    Hosting, moderation, customer-support, and analytics vendors receive data only as needed under strict contracts.

    B. Analytics, Advertising, and Support Partners (Website Visitors Who “Accept All Cookies”)
    Google Analytics 4, Google Ads Conversion, Google Tag Manager, Facebook Pixel, Microsoft Clarity, Reddit Pixel, LinkedIn Insight Tag, Intercom.
    We share IP address, browser user-agent, and cookie IDs solely if you give consent via the banner.

    C. Public Content
    – Anything you mark “public” (clips, GIFs, comments) can be indexed by search engines.
    – Deleting an account does not guarantee content removal from caches or archives.

    D. Business Transfers
    If we merge, sell, or enter bankruptcy, Personal Data may transfer subject to this Policy.

    6. Your Privacy Choices, Tracking, and Cookie Controls
    A. Cookie Banner on KLIPY.com
    1. Accept All Cookies: we and partners listed in 5.B may set cookies for analytics, personalised ads, bug-tracking, and live chat.
    2. Accept Only Necessary Cookies: we set only essential cookies for site security and basic features.
    Change your choice anytime via the “Cookie Preferences” link in the footer or your browser settings; withdrawing consent disables future non-essential cookies and erases them where feasible.

    B. Limiting Targeted Ads Elsewhere
    Industry opt-outs: DAA, NAI.
    Device settings: iOS “Limit Ad Tracking” • Android “Reset Advertising ID”. Opt-outs reduce personalisation but do not remove ads.

    7. Cross-Border Data Handling
    – Servers may be in the United States and other countries.
    – International transfers rely on the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework and/or Standard Contractual Clauses.
    – Ad/SaaS partners outside the EEA receive data only under equivalent safeguards.

    8. Your Rights Over Your Data
    Depending on where you live (e.g., EU/UK - GDPR, California - CPRA), you may:

    9. Data Storage & Retention
    Account data: kept while account is active then anonymised.
    Support tickets: 6 years for legal defence.
    Ad logs: 13 months then anonymised.
    Back-ups: encrypted.

    10. Security Measures
    Encryption in transit & at rest, role-based access controls, regular security audits, and a 72-hour breach-notification process.

    11. Children’s Privacy
    Our Services are not directed to children under 13 (or 16 in the EEA). We do not knowingly collect data from them. If you believe a child has provided data, contact us so we can delete it.

    12. Changes to This Policy
    We may update this Policy periodically. Material changes will be announced via e-mail or in-app notice. Continued use after the “Last Updated” date means you accept the revisions.
